History
Incorporated in 1969, LRID is a
state affiliate chapter of the
Registry of Interpreters for the
Deaf, Inc., to meet the needs of
a professional organization of
interpreters and transliterators
within the state of Louisiana. |
Purpose
LRID is a non-profit organization whose principle
purposes are to:
- Initiate, sponsor, promote, and execute
policies and activities that will further
the profession.
- Provide professional development.
- Maintain and promote a code of
professional conduct.
- Provide the public with information
regarding the profession of interpreting
